We haven't gone anywhere, even though we are behind on our posting, but we have been busy with weddings. Here are a few.

What's New

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream. That's right. SilverSpoon is now selling ice cream. What a great combination, ice cream and cake. Yum! Let's celebrate St. Patrick's Day with a Shamrock Sundae. Two scoops of mint chocolate chip ice cream, chocolate sauce,whipped cream and crushed mint chocolate cookies. Oh! Don't forget the cherry on top! This minty masterpiece will be available for the entire month of March!

The BOSS is coming BACK!

Just in case you didn't know, The Boss is coming Back! That's right, Buddy Valastro from Carlos Bakery will be visiting us again and guess what.We have tickets!!! Not just any tickets,But orchestra seats! Do you want them? We'll let me tell you how to get your hands on them. Come into SilverSpoon Bakery and purchase a ticket.Your name will then  be entered into a drawing for our monthly gift basket.(Really cool stuff).The winner of each basket will then be entered into the grand prize drawing, and the grand prize winner will receive TWO tickets to see the BOSS himself. On Saturday the 11th of June, we had the pleasure of creating a beautiful almond wedding cake, frosted in creamy white buttercream and an ivory damask pattern. The wedding was held at the Chesapeake Conference Center in Chesapeake, Virginia. 150 guest were welcomed into the reception that was adorned with black and white damask chair sashes and elegant table settings accented with gold. Congratulations Patrice and  James!!

We also created a lovely cake for our bride "Robin". This three tiered confection was composed of Lemon and Marble cake. Frosted with buttercream and decorated with filigree swirls and gumpaste lilies. The event was held at the Cost Guard Base in Portsmouth Virginia. 95 guest were served.

We had the pleasure of helping a couple celebrate their 35 wedding anniversary!The couple decided on lemon almond buttercake and vanilla buttercream frosting. The event was held at the Drydock  located
 on Portsmouth Naval Yard. Here is their original cake topper. Congratulations to Eula and Michael Porter. The event was beautiful and we wish you 35 more years!!
